Create Elastic Load Balancer

  1. On the Elastic Load Balancer page, click Instance Management and then click the blue string create an instance or the + button on the upright to create an instance and it will turn to the purchasing page, as shown below:

  2. On the purchasing page, please select the location, instance type, IP version, specification, bandwidth, instance name, billing type and the duration of the instance as you need. After that, please click Buy Now to turn to the order page, as you can see below:

  3. On the order page, please confirm the Order details on the left side of the page and you can choose to pay with Balance, Wechat or PayPal, as shown below:

  4. Please note that if you need to pay with your balance, keep your account balance sufficient. If you succeed in paying the instance, it will turn to a new page and you can cilck Go to Console and start to manage, as shown below:

Renew instance

  1. On the Elastic Load Balancer page, click Instance Management, then select the instance you need to renew and click Renew in the Action column, shown as below:

  2. In the pop-out window, confirm the instance that you need to renew, then select the duration you need to renew and then enter the login password. Click Pay to complete, shown as below:

Note: If you need to renew the instance, please keep your account balance sufficient.

Manage instance

  • On the Elastic Load Balancer page, click Instance Management, then select the instance you need to manage and click Manage in the Action column. After clicking, it will turn to a new page and you can start managing, as shown below:

Rename instance
  1. On the Manage page, click Instance Details and you can view the basic information of the instance. You can also rename the instanceby clicking the icon next to the instance name, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, confirm the note and then enter a new name in the textarea. Click Done to complete, as shown below:

Listener
Add listener with TCP/UDP protocol
  1. On the Manage page, click Add Listener to start, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, select the TCP/UDP protocol and set the range of listening port, you can also set the advanced settings where you can set the scheduling algorithm and listener name as you need, then click Next to continue, as shown below:

  3. In the Configurate Port step, please select the backend server type, that is to say the type of Configurate Port to which the listening request will be forwarded; then select the server group or you can click the blue string New Virtual Server Group or Create Master-slave Server Group to create a new server group: how to add servers please refer to the operation guide Create virtual server group or Create master-slave server group. Then click Next to continue, as shown below:

  4. In Health Check part, you can set health check as you need: click the switch button to switch on the health check, then set the health check port range, responce timeout, inspection interval, health threshold and the unhealth threshold as you need and then click Next to continue. Or you can just ignore this if you do not need health check, just click Next to continue, shown as below:

    Note: For the Health Check Port, the back-end server port is used for checking by default, and it is recommended to leave it blank unless a specific port is specified

  5. In the Configuration Check step, please check the previous settings you have set and you can click Edit to reset the configuration as you need, then click Done to complete, shown as below:

Configure access control with TCP/UDP protocol
  1. After successfully adding the listener, you can configure the access control: click Config in the Access Control column, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, click the switch button and please note that: after enabling access control, you can configure the access control policy to allow or prohibit certain specific IP access to load balancing. Then select the access control method and policy group as you need. Click Done to finish, as shown below:

Configurate listener
  1. After successfully adding the listener, you can configurate the listener on the Manage page: click Listener, then click Configurate Listener in the Action column, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, you can configurate the listener as you need, how to configure a listener with TCP protocol please refer to Add listener with TCP/UDP protocol above.

Stop listener
  1. After successfully adding the listener, you can stop the listener on the Manage page: click Listener, then click Stop in the Action column, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, confirm the information and then click Stop to complete, as shown below:

Delete listener
  1. After successfully adding the listener, you can delete the listener on the Manage page: click Listener, then click Delete in the Action column, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, confirm the information and then click Delete to complete, as shown below:

Add listener with HTTP protocol
  1. On the Manage page, click Add Listener to start, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, select the HTTP protocol and set the range of listening port. Then in the advanced settings part, you can set the Redirection, WebSocket and the Session Persistence by clicking the correspondent switch button.

    2.1 Redirection: Click the switch button of Redirection, then select the target port as you need and click Next to continue; shown as below:

    2.2 WebSocket: Click the switch button of WebSocket, then select the scheduling algorithm as you need and click Next to continue; shown as below:

    2.3 Session Persistence: Click the switch button of Session Persistence, then select the scheduling algorithm, set the request timeout, idle timeout, listener name, cookie handling options and the session persistence timeout as you need, and then click Next to continue, as shown below:

  3. In the Configurate Port step, please select the backend server type, that is to say the type of Configurate Port to which the listening request will be forwarded; then select the server group or you can click the blue string New Virtual Server Group or Create Master-slave Server Group to create a new server group: how to add servers please refer to the operation guide Create virtual server group or Create master-slave server group. Then click Next to continue, as shown below:

  4. In Health Check part, you can set health check as you need: click the switch button to switch on the health check, then set the health check method, health check path, health check domain(optinal), normal status code, health check port, responce timeout, inspection interval, health threshold and the unhealth threshold as you need and then click Next to continue. Or you can just ignore this if you do not need health check, just click Next to continue, shown as below:

    Note:

    1. For the Health Check Method, when using HTTP protocol for health check, GET method request is used by default.

    2. For the Health Check Path, it is used for the URI of the health check page file, and it is recommended to check the static page.

    3. For the Health Check Domain, by default, the intranet IP of each back-end server is used as the domain name.

    4. For the Health Check Port, the back-end server port is used for checking by default, and it is recommended to leave it blank unless a specific port is specified

  5. In the Configuration Check step, please the previous settings you have set and you can click Edit to reset the configuration as you need, then click Done to complete, shown as below:

Configurate listener with HTTP protocol

  2. In the pop-out window, you can configurate the listener as you need, how to configurate a listener with UDP protocol please refer to Add listener with HTTP protocol above.

Configurate forwarding rule
  1. After successfully adding a listener with HTTP protocol, you can configurate the forwarding rule of the listener on the Manage page: click Listener, then click Configurate Forwarding in the Action column, as shown below:

  2. In the poop-out window, read the notes and please fill in at least one of the domain name and URL according to the requirement in the notes above, then select a server group and you can also remark it if needed. Then click +Add Forwarding Rule(s) to complete, as shown below:

Add listener with HTTPS protocol
  1. On the Manage page, click Add Listener to start, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, select the HTTPS protocol, set the range of listening port and select the certificate if you have certificates. Or you can upload a certificate issued by a third party: click New Server Certificate, shown as below:

    In the New Server Certificate window that pops out, click Upload a certificate not issued by YisuCloud and then enter the name, the certificate public key and certificate private key of the third-party certificate. Click Done to complete, shown as below:

    Note:If you have not purchased a certificate yet, please apply for a certificate at first in the SSL Certificate service, how to purchase a certificate please refer to the operation guide of Purchase an SSL certificate instance, or click Buy a Certificate to apply one, shown as below:

    Then in the advanced settings part, you can set the WebSocket and the Session Persistence by clicking the correspondent switch button.

    • i. WebSocket: Click the switch button of WebSocket, then select the scheduling algorithm as you need and click Next to continue; shown as below:

    • ii. Session Persistence: Click the switch button of Session Persistence, then select the scheduling algorithm, set the request timeout, idle timeout, listener name, cookie handling options and the session persistence timeout as you need, and then click Next to continue, as shown below:

  3. For the Configurate Port, Health Check and the Configuration Check steps, please refer to the step 3,4 and 5 in the Add listener with HTTP protocol.

Virtual server group
Create virtual server group
  1. On the Manage page, click Virtual Server Group and then click Create Virtual Server Group to start creating, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, enter a virtual server group name in the textarea, then click +Add, as shown below:

  3. In the My Server List window that pops out, select the servers as you need. After selecting, click Next to continue, as shown below:

  4. In this step, please configurate the port and the weight or other actions, then click Done to continue, as shown below:

    Note: Weight: The greater the weight, the more requests will be forwarded. The default value is 100. If session retention is enabled, the requests to the back-end server may be uneven. If the weight is set to 0, the server will not accept new requests.

  5. In the Create Virtual Server Group window, click Save to complete, as shown below:

Edit virtual server group
  1. After successfully creating the virtual server group, you can edit the virtual server group on the Virtual Server Group page: click Edit in the Actions column, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, you can view the details and edit the virtual server group name in the textarea, or add servers by clicking Add Servers, as shown below:

  3. How to add servers please refer to the operation guide Create virtual server group above.

  4. After successfully adding servers, in the Edit Virtual Server Group window, click Confirm to complete, as shown below:

Delete virtual server group
  1. you can also delete the virtual server group on the Master-slave Server Group page: click Delete in the Actions column, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, confirm the information and then click Delete to complete, as shown below:

Master-slave server group

Create master-slave server group

  1. On the Manage page, click Master-slave Server Group and then click Create Master-slave Server Group to start creating, as shown below:

  2. In the pop-out window, enter an M&S server group name in the textarea, then click + Add, as shown below:

  3. In the My Server List window that pops out, select the servers as you need and please note that 2 servers must be selected to form an master-slave server group. After selecting, click Next to continue, as shown below:

  4. In this step, please configurate the port and the machine type or other actions, then click Done to continue, as shown below:

  5. In the Create Master-slave Server Group window, click Save to complete, as shown below:

View master-slave server group details
  1. After successfully creating the master-slave server group, you can view the master-slave server group details on the Master-slave Server Group page: click View in the Actions column, as shown below:
