Note:
For more information on the differences between Light Server and ECC, see Comparison with ECC.
General Restrictions
- After the instance is created, it is not supported to change the IP address voluntarily.
- An instance supports the overall upgrade of the configuration (computing, storage, and network) on a bundle basis but not bundle downgrade.
- When the Light server resets the application or reinstalls the system, interchange between Linux and Windows instance packages is not supported.
Note:
- Linux instance package: uses a Linux system image or an application image based on Linux.
- Windows instance package: uses a Windows Server system image or an ASP.NET application image.
Quota Limits
- Light Server has quotas of purchasable instances. The current total instance quota per account per region is 20 (20 per region), of which the $4.50 bundles can only be purchased once per region.
- Up to 100 firewall rules can be created for each Light Server instance.
- Snapshot quota limits:
- Only system disks are supported to create snapshots.
- The maximum number of free snapshots in each region is the number of created instances multiplied by 2 and cannot exceed 10.
