PPPoE（PPP over Ethernet）协议是一种把PPP帧封装到以太网帧中的链路层协议。PPPoE可以使以太网网络中的多台主机连接到远端的宽带接入服务器。

RP-PPPoE是免费软件； 但它不提供保修或支持。 很抱歉也无法为RP-PPPoE提供电子邮件或电话支持。 如果您在购买的Linux发行版中收到RP-PPPoE，则您可能有权获得发行版供应商的支持。 首先应该尝试您的供应商。
Ubuntu 18.04编译安装RP-PPPoE的具体步骤，目前亲测没有问题。
首先解压
tar xzvf rp-pppoe-3.13.tar.gz
转到源目录：
[root@linux:~/www.linuxprobe.com/rp-pppoe-3.13]$ cd src
配置：
[root@linux:~/www.linuxprobe.com/rp-pppoe-3.13]$ ./configure checking for gcc... gcc checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out checking for suffix of executables... checking whether we are cross compiling... no ......
开始编译：
[root@linux:~/www.linuxprobe.com/rp-pppoe-3.13]$ make gcc -g -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes '-DPPPOE_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppoe"' '-DPPPD_PATH="/usr/sbin/pppd"' '-DPLUGIN_PATH="/etc/ppp/plugins/rp-pppoe.so"' '-DPPPOE_SERVER_OPTIONS="/etc/ppp/pppoe-server-options"' -Ilibevent '-DVERSION="3.13"' -c -o pppoe.o pppoe.c ......
安装（此步骤必须以超级用户身份完成）
[root@linux:~/www.linuxprobe.com/rp-pppoe-3.13]$ make install Type 'make install' as root to install the software. mkdir -p /usr/sbin /usr/bin/install -c -m 755 pppoe /usr/sbin /usr/bin/install -c -m 755 pppoe-server /usr/sbinif test -x licensed-only/pppoe-server-control ; then /usr/bin/install -c -m 755 licensed-only/pppoe-server-control /usr/sbin; fiif test......
